Mission Out has reached the final of a regional tourism award
The squad at Mission Out at Tingley Garden Centre is celebrating after reaching the final of the Kids First award in the Yorkshire Post Tourism Awards.
Yorkshire Garden Centres’ Group Play Manager, Caroline Ellis is delighted with the news: “Since we acquired our first garden centre at Tong in 2015, it’s always been our ambition to be a great destination attraction for all the family and we were aware that there was a gap in our offer for something new and exciting for 7 – 14 year olds to enjoy. In a world that can be dominated by screen time, our challenge was to create a park that inspires, engages and challenges this age group.
“Visitor numbers suggest that we have achieved our ambition, and a place in the final is great recognition for Mission Out’s popularity and the team’s hard work plus exceptional customer service.”
The squad faces competition from High Adventures Holidays, Piglets Adventure Farm and The Hole in the Wand York. They will learn whether they have been successful at an awards ceremony at New Dock, Leeds on 2nd December. The judges include Wayne Topley, MD of the Cedar Court Hotels Group, Susie Brindley, MD of Willow Business Support, and Philip Bolson, Owner, Mr B Hospitality.
